چکیده

In many practical situations, however, the environment is presence of strong pulse jamming (PJ) with high intensity; the pulse jamming is with binomial distribution. In this case, the pulse jamming can cause drastic degradation in the performance of Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) processors. In this paper, CA CFAR and CA CFAR BI (binary integration) processors in binomial distributed pulse jamming are studied. The mathematical expressions for calculating of the probability of detection, probability of false alarm and the average decision threshold (ADT) for CA CFAR detectors in binomial distributed pulse jamming are offered. The results for the ADT are received analytically and the probability functions (SNR). Research is performed in MATLAB environment.

Systolic Architecture of Adaptive Post Detection Integration CFAR Processor in Binomial Distribution Pulse Jamming

A new parallel algorithm for signal processing and a parallel systolic architecture of a CFAR processor with adaptive censoring and post detection integration (API) are presented in the paper. The processor proposed is used for target detection when echoes from targets are performed in conditions of binomial distribution pulse jamming. The property of the algorithm proposed is its ability autom...

CFAR Processors in Pulse Jamming

In this paper we study the efficiency of CA CFAR BI, EXC CFAR BI and Adaptive CFAR PI detectors in strong pulse jamming. We achieve new results for the average decision threshold (ADT) using the minimum detectable signal (Pd=0.5). For comparison we use also the approach with Monte-Karlo simulation for estimation of the ADT of the studied CFAR detectors. Differently from other authors, we consid...

Average Decision Threshold of CA CFAR and excision CFAR Detectors in the Presence of Strong Pulse Jamming

1 Introduction Cell-Averaging Constant False Alarm Rate (CA CFAR) signal processing proposed by Finn and Johnson in [1] is often used for radar signal detection. The detection threshold is determined as a product of the noise level estimate in the reference window and a scale factor to achieve the design probability of false alarm. The presence of strong pulse jamming (PJ) in both, the test res...

One- and Two-Dimensional CFAR Processors in the Presence of Strong Pulse Jamming

In this paper CA CFAR, excision CFAR, CA CFAR BI, excision CFAR BI and API CFAR processors in strong pulse jamming (PJ) are discussed . We investigate the influence of the scale factor over probability of false alarm and detection probability in strong PJ for one-dimensional CFAR processors. The efficiency of oneand twodimensional CFAR processors by using the average decision threshold (ADT) ap...

Hough Detector Threshold Analysis in the Presence of a Randomly Arriving Impulse Interference

In this paper a technique of Hough detector threshold procedure for moving target detection under conditions of randomly arriving impulse interference with a Poisson distributed flow and Raleigh amplitude distribution is proposed. The expressions of detection and false alarm probability are derived for a highly fluctuating Swerling II target. A comparative analysis of the performance of a Hough...
